Titel: Untitled (Elberfelder Torso).
Date: 1909 (design)????.
Technique: Bronze, green-brown patinated.
Measurement: 86,5 x 38 x 28cm.
Notation: Signed on the buttocks left: B. Hoetger.

This bronze is one of two estate casts of the first version of the "Elberfelder Torso", here worked without arm relief (cf. cat. rais. Werner 58).

In July 2021, the "Plane Tree Grove", artistically designed by Hoetger in 1911 as part of the Mathildenhöhe park in Darmstadt, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
